Vroom, vroom!! The chainsaw buzzed loudly. The other day I helped my granddad cut down a big tree at my grandparents’ house. My job was to push the big tree away from the olive tree so it did not crush it. “Come on!” said Granddad.
“Ok,” I replied.

Granddad started cutting, but it kept stopping. “ Come on!” he said. Finally, it roared to life like an angry tiger. In the blink of an eye it was gliding through the tree like a ballet dancer on a stage. Next, the tree began to fall and I pushed it away from the olive tree and…….. thud! The tree hit the ground with a loud crash!

“Well done,” said Grandad as we pulled to the tree of the bank, where it had been. The bark of the tree was rough like sandpaper.
After that we placed it on the tractor bucket and took it up to where the rest of the wood was to cut it into firewood.

Later that day, Granddad and I used the chainsaw to cut it up into small pieces for firewood. I had a great day and I felt happy because we had lots of new fire wood.
